Station 2 was a replacement of an older building that was no longer able to serve the community in the capacity that the city wanted. It was replaced by a larger facility that can house more first responders and equipment and a new exit onto a less busy street. Station 6 was a new build in the western part of the city. This building included a tower, community room and police substation offices.
