This transformative project added 2,950 SF to the historic Carnegie Library in Manitou Springs while comprehensively renovating the existing structure. The Ballard Group provided HVAC and plumbing engineering services to modernize the century-old building while preserving its historic character.

The project required innovative mechanical and plumbing solutions to integrate modern systems within historic constraints. We designed climate control systems for optimal book preservation and patron comfort, plus ADA-compliant plumbing throughout the facility. The library successfully reopened in February 2025 with reliable building systems that will serve the community for decades to come.
